Army Cadet College Graduation Ceremony 4th Dec 2020
A total of 31 gentleman cadets graduated from the Army Cadet College (ACC), an integral feeder wing of the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, that trains and educates selected troops from the ranks to become commissioned officers.
They were awarded degrees conferred by the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, at a ceremony presided by the IMA, commandant, Lt Gen Harinder Singh. Amongst the graduates, 11 are from the science stream and 20 in humanities.
He added that ACC cadets have excelled and done the nation proud over the years by bagging top service and gallantry honours, reached high positions and left an excellent legacy for all of them to emulate.
The Chief of Army Staff’s (COAS) Gold Medal was awarded to Wing Cadet Captain Atin Thapa, while the COAS Silver Medal and Bronze Medal went to Wing Cadet Quarter Master Satbir Singh and Wing Cadet Adjutant Sahil Thakur.
The Commandant’s Silver Medals went to Company Cadet Captain Anmol Gurung for standing first in-service subjects, Company Quarter Master Sargent Singh Atul Pratap for standing first in humanities and Platoon Cadet Commander Sahil Verma for standing first in science stream.
The graduating cadets, who belong to the 116 Army Cadet College Wing Course, will now proceed to the IMA for one year of pre-commissioning training before they are finally inducted as Lieutenants.
On Friday, the IMA Commandant also pipped in three Gentlemen Cadets from Tajikistan, who have finished their pre-commission training and will now be proceeding for advance courses in other Indian military establishments.
