Indian Army has released BSC Nursing notification 2023 to join Military Nursing Service as an officer. Applications are invited from female candidates who have qualified NEET (UG) – 2023 for admission to four years BSc (Nursing) Course commencing in the year 2023 at Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS). Candidates will be selected for admission at Colleges of Nursing based on the final merit cum choice prepared using NEET (UG) 2023 score, Computer Based Test of General Intelligence, General English (ToGlGE), Psychological Assessment Test (PAT) and Interview, subject to medical fitness and vacancies at each College.

lt is mandatory for all candidates desirous of seeking admission for BSc Nursing course at AFMS institutions to :

(a) Register and apply at the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

(b) Qualify NEET (UG) – 2023 conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). 

(c) Appear for the screening process at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt on the given date if shortlisted.

Eligibility Condition:

(a) Female candidates who are unmarried/ divorced/ legally separated/ widow without encumbrances.

(b) Nationality – Citizen of India

(c) Date of Birth – Born between 01 Oct 1998 and 30 Sep 2006 (both days inclusive).

(d) Educational Qualification – Candidate must have passed in the FIRST ATTEMPT, Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent (12 Years schooling) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English with not less than 50% aggregate marks as a regular student from a Statutory/Recognized Board/ University/Examining Body.

Selection Process of Military Nursing Service 2023:

(a) Shortlistings through NEET (UG) 2023 score: The registration numbers (Reference No) of the candidates who are shortlisted for screening at designated venue based on NEET (UG) – 2023 merit will be displayed at the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. The shortlisted candidates will be called for ToGlGE, PAT, Interview and Medical examination at a designated venue. The admit card for the same can be downloaded from www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

(b) Verification of Documents: All shortlisted candidates will be required to produce all original documents as listed in the admit card at the time of interview for verification. 

(c) Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGlGE): Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGlGE) will be in the form of Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 40 MCQs of two marks each for maximum marks of 80. There will be negative marks of 0.5 for every incorrect answer. These 40 questions will be required to be answered in 30 mins.

(d) Psychological Assessment and Interview: All shortlisted candidates will undergo psychological assessment and interview by the board of officers at Base Hospital. The candidates may be asked questions on core subject, general knowledge, current affairs, hobbies and interest etc.

(e) Medical Examination: All shortlisted candidates will undergo Special Medical Board (SMB) at a designated venue.

How To Apply:

(a) Interested candidates (FEMALES ONLY) may register through www.joinindianarmy.nic.in which will be accessible after the declaration of NEET (UG) 2023 result.

(b) The candidates will be able to register ONLINE by providing name, mobile number, email id and other details. The scanned copy of the required documents also needs to be uploaded in the prescribed size and format. 

(c) All candidates (except SC/ST) will have to pay a sum of Rs 200 only as application processing fee through ONLINE payment gateway.

(d) Candidates may take a printout of the duly filled application for further reference along with payment confirmation page.

(e) Once the process is complete candidates are provided with a provisional registration number (reference number). This number will be sent to the registered email id and phone number.

The selected candidates shall execute an agreement/bond to serve in Military Nursing Service (MNS), Armed Forces Medical Services at the time of admission. During training they will be provided with free ratlon, accommodation, uniform allowance and monthly stipend as per terms and conditions as amended from time to time. On successful completion of BSc Nursing course of four years, the candidates will be granted Permanent/Short Service Commission in the Military Nursing Service, under the terms and conditions laid down for grant of such commission.
