TES 50 Notification Indian Army
TES 50 Notification (Technical Entry Scheme 50) released by Indian Army to join OTA Gaya. Applications are invited from unmarried male Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (hereinafter referred to as PCM) subjects and appeared in JEE (Mains) 2023 examination and fulfill the eligibility conditions prescribed in the subsequent paragraphs, for the grant of Permanent Commission in the Army.
Eligibility Criteria:
Nationality:
A candidate must fulfill the following criteria to be eligible:
- Be an unmarried male who is either: (i) A citizen of India, (ii) A subject of Bhutan, (iii) A subject of Nepal, (iv) A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (v) A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
It is important to note that candidates falling under categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Age Limit:
A candidate must not be below 16½ years and above 19½ years on the first day of the month in which the course is due to commence i.e. the candidate should not be born before 02 July 2004 and not after 01 July 2007 (both days inclusive).

Educational Qualification:
According to TES 50 notification only those candidates who have passed 10+2 Examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from recognized education boards and appeared for JEE Mains 2023 are eligible to apply. Eligibility condition for calculating PCM percentage of various state /central boards will be based on marks obtained in Class XII only.
Vacancies:
90 (Vacancies are provisional and can be changed depending on the training capacity at the Training Academy for this course. The vacancies are subject to increase/decrease keeping the organizational requirement at the point of time.)
Type of Commission: On successful completion of 4 years of the course, cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt.
How To Apply:
Visit www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and click on “Officers Entry Apply/Login”. Register on the website. Once registered, log in using your credentials and click on “Apply”
(ii) Candidates must enter their particulars in the online application. Terms and conditions linked to the form must be read, prior to submitting the form.
(iii) After submitting the form an acknowledgement with a Roll number will be provided to the candidate. If the system does not generate Roll Number, it is an indication of non-acceptance of application by the system.
(iv) After submitting the online application, candidates need to obtain two copies of the application printout along with the Roll Number generated by the system. One copy of the printed application, duly signed by the candidate, should be carried to the selection center for the SSB interview.
(v) At the time of the SSB interview, candidates are required to submit two self-attested photocopies of the certificates mentioned above. The original certificates will be returned to the candidates after verification at the SSB center itself.
(vi) 20 copies of self-attested PP size photograph will also be carried along with the Application Form.
(vii) The second copy of the printout of online application is to be retained by the candidate for his reference. No need to send any hard copy to DG Rtg / Rtg Dte.
(viii) Candidates must submit only one application; Receipt of multiple applications from the same candidate will result in cancellation of candidature.
Following documents are required to be carried along with the Application Form:- (i) Class 10th certificate / mark sheet showing DOB in original. (ii) Class 12th certificate / mark sheet in original. (iii) ID proof in original.
Selection Procedure:
After getting shortlisted, candidates need to go through the SSB process which consist of two stages.
Stage I comprises of an Intelligence Test, and a Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PPDT). Only those who clear stage I are taken to stage II.
In Stage II candidates will face Psychological Tests, Group Test I and II for two days, and Personal Interview.
Merit List:
It must be noted that mere qualifying at the SSB Interview does not confirm final Selection.
The finalization of the merit list is solely based on the marks obtained by the candidate at the SSB Interview. Higher educational qualifications, previous performances, NCC background, and other factors do not have a role to play in the preparation of the merit list.
The issuance of joining letters for pre-commission training at OTA, Gaya is subject to vacancies and medical fitness.
Training:
Total training will be of 5 years. Details are as under:
(a) Basic Military Training – 1 year (Officer Training Academy Gaya).
(b) Technical Training – (i) Phase-I (Pre Commission Training): 3 Years (CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad),
(ii) Phase-II (Post Commission Training): 1 year at CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad.
How To Prepare For SSB:
To clear stage I of SSB, we highly recommend candidates to go through the SSB OIR BOOK forwarded by Col. Anshu Trivedi, Ex SSB President of 24 SSB Bangalore.
For Stage II, we advise candidates to refer to TAT, WAT, GTO ebooks, which have been the key to success for many recommended candidates.
