TES 49 Notification
TES 49 Notification (Technical Entry Scheme 49) released by Indian Army to join OTA Gaya. Applications are invited from unmarried male Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (hereinafter referred to as PCM) subjects and appeared in JEE (Mains) 2022 examination and fulfill the eligibility conditions prescribed in the subsequent paragraphs, for the grant of Permanent Commission in the Army.
Eligibility Criteria:
Nationality: A candidate must be unmarried male and must either be : (i) A citizen of India, or (ii) A subject of Bhutan, or (iii) A subject of Nepal, or (iv) A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by Govt of India.
Age Limit: A candidate must not be below 16½ years and above 19½ years on the first day of the month in which the course is due to commence i.e. the candidate should not be born before 02 Jan 2004 and not after 01 Jan 2007 (both days inclusive).

Educational Qualification: According to TES 49 notification only those candidates who have passed 10+2 Examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from recognized education boards and appeared for JEE Mains 2022 are eligible to apply. Eligibility condition for calculating PCM percentage of various state /central boards will be based on marks obtained in Class XII only.
Vacancies: 90 (Vacancies are provisional and can be changed depending on the training capacity at the Training Academy for this course. The vacancies are subject to increase/decrease keeping the organizational requirement at the point of time.)
Type of Commission: On successful completion of 4 years of the course, cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt.
How To Apply: Visit www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and click on “Officers Entry Apply/Login”. Register on the website. Once registered, log in using your credentials and click on “Apply”
(ii) Candidates must enter their particulars in the online application. Terms and conditions linked to the form must be read, prior to submitting the form.
(iii) After submitting the form an acknowledgement with a Roll number will be provided to the candidate. If the system does not generate Roll Number, it is an indication of non-acceptance of application by the system.
(iv) After submitting online application, candidates are required to obtain two copies of the application printout and the Roll Number generated by the system. One copy of the print out application duly Signed by the candidate will be carried to the selection centre for the SSB interview.
(v) Two self attested photocopies of the above mentioned certificates will be submitted at the time of SSB interview and originals will be returned after verification at the SSB itself.
(vi) 20 copies of self-attested PP size photograph will also be carried along with the Application Form.
(vii) The second copy of the printout of online application is to be retained by the candidate for his reference. No need to send any hard copy to DG Rtg / Rtg Dte.
(viii) Candidates must submit only one application; Receipt of multiple applications from the same candidate will result in cancellation of candidature.
Following documents are required to be carried along with the Application Form:- (i) Class 10th certificate / mark sheet showing DOB in original. (ii) Class 12th certificate / mark sheet in original. (iii) ID proof in original.
Selection Procedure: After getting shortlisted, candidates need to go through the SSB process which consist of two stages.
Stage I comprises of an Intelligence Test, and a Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PPDT). Those who can clear stage I only are taken to stage II.
In Stage II candidates will face Psychological Tests, Group Test I and II for two days, and Personal Interview.
Merit List: It must be noted that mere qualifying at the SSB Interview does not confirm final Selection.
Merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate at SSB Interview. Higher educational
qualifications, previous performances, NCC background etc. have no role to play for finalization of Merit List.
Joining letters to join pre-commission training at OTA, Gaya will only be issued subject to vacancies and medical fitness.
Training: Total training will be of 5 years. Details are as under:
(a) Basic Military Training – 1 year (Officer Training Academy Gaya).
(b) Technical Training – (i) Phase-I (Pre Commission Training): 3 Years (CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad),
(ii) Phase-II (Post Commission Training): 1 year at CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad.
How to Prepare for SSB: To clear stage I of SSB, it is hghly recommended for a candidate to go through SSB OIR BOOK which is forwarded by Col. Anshu Trivedi, Ex SSB President of 24 SSB Bangalore.
For Stage II, candidates are advised to refer TAT, WAT, GTO ebooks which have been a key to success for many recommended candidates.
