MNS Entry provides an opportunity for female candidates to serve as a officer in Indian Armed Forces. The motto of Military Nursing Service is “Service with smile”.
MNS is responsible for treating soldiers and their families in the tri service hospitals-Army, Navy and Air Force. It is an integral part of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS)
The AFMS consists of
- Army Medical Corps (AMC)
- Army Dental Corps (ADC)
- Military Nursing Service (MNS)

MNS exam is objective type computer based examination. There is only one paper in MNS exam. Total paper is of 90 minutes duration. There is no individual cut off for three sections. General intelligence refers to the logical and analytical reasoning.

What is the eligibility for MNS Entry?
Age | Your age should be between 16 ½ to 24 ½ at the time of “joining MNS BSc Course” |
Stream | Candidates must have passed in the first attempt, (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.. Note: No minimum percentage is required |

MNS Exam Interview
After clearing your exam, you will receive a call letter for SSB interview. Once you are recommended by the SSB Board, you will undergo a total medical examination. At this stage if you are declared medically unfit you will be sent back. As soon as you are declared medically fit, your name will be accommodated in the Merit List.
As per the vacancy, those topping merit list are called for joining MNS Course. Rest of the candidates will be considered merit out and have to undergo the same procedure again from scratch including written examination.
Military Nursing Service Training
Cadets are given admission into 4 years B Sc. (Nursing) Course commencing at Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services.
Cadets have to pass the final year University examination for BSc (Nursing) Course from any of the six institutions. candidates are then offered Commission in the Military Nursing Service
