OTA Chennai Passing Out Parade
The Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, witnessed a stirring and ceremonious Passing Out Parade on September 6, 2025, as 155 officer cadets (including 25 women cadets) were commissioned into the Indian Army. In addition, 21 Officer Cadets (including 12 Women) from Friendly Foreign Countries successfully completed their training, fostering bonds of camaraderie and cooperation across international borders.
Air Chief Marshal A P Singh, CAS reviewed the impressive Passing Out Parade of SSC-120, SSC (W)- 34 and equivalent courses at OTA Chennai. The POP was a grand spectacle of impressive turnout & immaculate drill, showcasing high level of training, pride & coordination.

Chief of Air Staff, who also presented the Sword of Honour and silver medal to Raj Biswas, OTA gold medal to Parul Dhadwal, and bronze medal to Pranjal Dixit. The reviewing officer, in his address, lauded the cadets and OTA staff for their exemplary achievements, exhorting the newly commissioned officers to uphold the cardinal military values of ‘selfless service to the nation’ and steadfast pursuit of excellence in all endeavours.
The parade concluded with the traditional Pipping Ceremony, symbolizing the solemn vow of the newly commissioned officers. With the insignia gleaming on their shoulders, they pledged allegiance to the Constitution of India and committed themselves to safeguard the nation at all costs.

Donning their ranks and regimental accoutrements, the young officers stepped out of the portals of the OTA with the resolve to “Serve with Honour” and uphold the dignity and honour of the nation.
What emerges from this grand ceremony is a powerful narrative of courage, unity, and service. Whether carrying forward legacies like Dhadwal’s or forging new paths like Varaprasad’s, each cadet represents the India they vow to protect.
