State-wise Distribution Of Gentlemen Cadets
State-wise distribution of gentlemen cadets at IMA (Indian Military Academy) in 2023. 9th December witnessed a significant milestone as 343 cadets graduated from the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun, officially joining the Indian Army as lieutenants. Notably, Uttar Pradesh contributed the highest number of cadets, with 68 individuals, while Uttarakhand secured the second position, producing 42 distinguished officers for the Indian Army.
Recognized as “Veerbhoomi” for its significant contributions to the Indian Army and armed forces, Uttarakhand boasts a rich tradition of dedicated service to the nation by its sons over the decades. The state has consistently distinguished itself in cultivating military officers, with several achieving top positions within the Indian Army.
In the last passing-out parade in June 2023, Uttarakhand was ranked fifth with 23 officers and 63 cadets passed from Uttar Pradesh, 33 from Bihar, 32 from Haryana, 26 from Maharashtra and 23 from Uttarakhand.

373 Gentlemen Cadets graduated this month, bringing the total count of cadets who have completed their training at the Indian Military Academy to 65,234. Additionally, the Indian Military Academy takes pride in having trained 2,914 foreign cadets to date.
