Indian Navy SSC notification 2027. Applications are invited from unmarried eligible men & women candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) for course commencing Jan 2027 onwards at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Candidates must fulfill conditions of nationality as laid down by the Government of India. Selected candidates will undergo training for respective branches/cadres/specialisations as under:
Who Can Apply:
(a) Candidates who have graduated/ post-graduated or in the final year with minimum 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
(b) Candidates who have obtained a degree in Engineering with 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA/System from such foreign university/ college/ institution.
Eligibility Conditions:

Selection Procedure:
(a) Shortlisting of application will be based on normalised marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree. Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree will be normalised using the Indian Navy normalisation formulae.
(b) For BE/BTech candidates who have completed the course or are in the final year, the authorities will consider marks obtained up to the fifth semester for SSB shortlisting.
(c) Post-Graduate Degree Programme: For candidates who have completed MSc, MCA, MBA, M Tech, marks obtained in all semesters will be considered. For candidates who are in final year, shortlisting will be based on pre-final year performance.
(d) Candidates selected in the final merit list must submit proof of completing the qualifying degree with at least 60% marks by sending an email to officer@navy.gov.in. The authorities will not allow candidates who fail to meet this requirement to join the Academy.
(e) The authorities will not entertain any communication regarding this matter.
(f) The authorities will inform shortlisted candidates about their SSB interview selection through email or SMS using the contact details provided in the application form. Candidates should not change their email ID or mobile number until the selection process is complete.
(g) Change of SSB Centre for interview is not permissible under any circumstances.
(h) Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates be addressed to the call up officer of the concerned SSB on receipt of call up letter. Candidates are to download the call up letter on receiving intimation from IHQ MoD (N) at SMS/email (provided by candidates in their application).
(i) The authorities will not provide any compensation for injuries sustained during tests conducted in the SSB interview.
(j) AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for particular type of commission. Candidates should carry a photocopy of their bank passbook first page or cheque leaf with name, account number, and IFSC details for the SSB interview.

Candidates are to register and fill application on Indian Navy website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in w.e.f 24th January 2026. To save time during the application submission window, candidates can fill in their details and upload documents in advance.
Merit List:
The authorities prepare the combined merit list using SSB marks and available vacancies for each entry. They appoint medically fit candidates based on vacancy availability.
