Army Day Parade 2026
Jaipur is getting ready to host a proud and patriotic event as it celebrates the 78th Indian Army Day Parade with great enthusiasm and respect for our soldiers.
Army Day is celebrated every year on January 15. It marks the day in 1949 when Lieutenant General K. M. Cariappa became the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army after independence. The day honours the bravery, discipline, and sacrifices of soldiers who protect the country.
For the first time, the Army Day Parade in Jaipur will be held outside a military area. It will take place on Mahal Road, Jagatpura, on January 15, 2026. This is a historic change, as the parade will now be held in a public area, allowing common citizens to watch and take part closely.

From January 8 to January 15, many events have been planned so that people of all ages can join the celebrations.
Public rehearsals on January 9, 11, and 13 will let people watch the parade practice and feel the excitement before the main event.
The ‘Know Your Army’ exhibition, held from January 8 to 12 at Bhawani Niketan College, will showcase modern weapons and defence technology, especially for students and young visitors.
‘Shaurya Sandhya 2026’ at SMS Stadium on January 15 will feature cultural performances, honours for families of martyrs, traditional martial arts, and a grand light and sound show based on Operation Sindoor. One of the main attractions will be a drone show, with around 1,000 drones lighting up the sky, combining modern technology with patriotic spirit.
