Officers Training Academy POP
A total of 220 Officer cadets, 184 male and 36 Women cadets were commissioned into various Arms and Services of the Indian Army on Saturday at the Passing out Parade held at India’s premier defence training establishment Officers Training Academy.
The cadets displayed exemplary discipline, synchronization and courage during the passing out parade. The induction of newly commissioned Officers embodied the spirit of duty and sacrifice.
The Passing out Parade at the hallowed grounds of Parameshwaran Drill Square at the OTA was reviewed by Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, the Chief of Air Staff.
This significant event, steeped in tradition and reverence, marked the culmination of 11 months of gruelling training of the Officer Cadets from SSC-117, SSC (W)-31 and equivalent courses, heralding their transformation into the esteemed leaders of the Indian Army.
The Reviewing Officer presented the Sword of Honour and Silver Medal to Lt Aryan Shahi. OTA Gold Medal to Lt Shauryan Thapa and the Bronze Medal to Lt Saranya M.
In his address, the Air Chief Marshal lauded the Officer Cadets and OTA staff for their exemplary achievements, exhorting the newly commissioned officers to uphold the cardinal military values of ‘Selfless Service to the Nation’ and steadfast pursuit of excellence in all endeavours.
Following the immaculate parade, the Pipping Ceremony symbolized a solemn vow as newly commissioned officers, adorned with the gleaming insignia on their shoulders, pledged allegiance to the nation and the Constitution of India.
Additionally, three Officer Cadets and six Officer Cadets (Women) from friendly Foreign Countries also successfully completed their training, fostering bonds of camaraderie and cooperation across international borders.
