AFMC Notification 2019 Armed Forces Medical Services Recruitment
Join the Armed Forces Medical Services as short service commissioned officer. Applications are invited from both male and female citizens of India, who have passed their final MBBS examination in either first or second attempt and completed the internship, for grant of Short Service Commission in the Armed Forces Medical Services.
Armed Forces Medical Services is the first tri-service (Army, Navy and Air Force) organization and one of the largest organized medical services in the country. It provides medical support to the Armed Forces during war as well as comprehensive health care to all service personnel, ex-servicemen and their dependents during peace. Army Medical Corps provides medical aid during natural calamities both at national and international levels.
Applicants who have taken more than two chances in final MBBS (Part I & II) Examination are not eligible and hence need not apply for the same. Applications are invited from both male and female Indian citizens, who have passed their final MBBS (Part-I & II) examination in not more than two attempts and have completed internship on or before 31 May 2019.
Educational Qualification: The applicant must possess medical qualification included in First/Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of IMC Act 1956. Postgraduate degree/diploma holders recognized by the State Medical Council/MCI/NBE can also apply. The applicant should have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/MCI.
Vacancy: The vacanies for AFMS 2019 are approximately 150 (135 for male candidates + 15 for female candidates).
Age Limit: The candidate must not have attained 45 years of age as on 31 December 2019.
Place Of Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview at New Delhi to assess their merit and suitability for grant of Short Service Commission.
Procedure To Apply: Application will be accepted online. Eligible candidate needs to click on the “NEW REGISTRATION” button and follow the steps on the website to submit the application. Call letters for interview shall be made available online only after the successful submission of online application.
Fee: The application fees for AFMS 2019 is Rs 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) which has to be payed online.
Official Notification: Notification will be available on www.amcsscentry.gov.in from 27 Apr 2019 onwards.
Note: The candidates are required to save registration number and online payment transaction number for future correspondence. Candidates should check the website and their registered email regularly for call letter and other updates. Shortlisted candidates should carry the original documents along with the four attested photocopies of all the documents as mentioned in the website for verification. Candidature of those found to be providing wrong information will be immediately rejected at any stage of the selection process. No grievances will be entertained in such cases.
Registration for online application will open on 27 April 2019 and will be closed on 26 May 2019. (www.amcsscentry.gov.in)
