NDA/NA 1 2018 NOTIFICATION  

NDA/NA 1 2018 NOTIFICATION: UPSC has issued notification for admission to the Army, Navy and Air force wings of the National Defence Academy (NDA) for the 141 ^st course, and for the 103 ^rd Indian Naval Academy course (INAC) commencing from 2 ^nd January 2019. The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination will be as under:

National Defence Academy: 360 (208 for Army, 60 for Navy and 92 for Air Force) Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme) : 55 Eligibility Criteria: Age – First thing to remember candidates born not earlier than 02 ^nd July 1999 and not later than 1 ^st July 2002 are eligible. Sex – To emphasize only Male candidates are allowed Marital status – Only unmarried candidates

Educational Qualification:

1. For Army wing of National Defence Academy – Candidate must be a 12^th class passed of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
2. For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy – Candidate must be a 12^th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

In general, candidates appearing in class 12^th under the pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination. In addition, candidates are required to submit proof of passing the 12^th class to ‘Directorate General of Recruiting’ by 22^nd December 2018 failing which their candidature will be cancelled.

Selection Procedure:

1. Written Examination
2. Intelligence and Personality test by Service Selection Board (SSB)
3. Announcement of final results

Fee structure : Candidates are also required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One hundred only). However, SC/ST candidates and sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs studying in Military/Sainik School are exempted from payment of the fee.

How to apply: Furthermore, all the eligible candidates are required to apply online by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in Not to mention no other mode is allowed for submission of application. Also, detailed instructions are available on the above mentioned website.
