How to Join Territorial Army
There are three steps of Joining TA. First one is Passing TA Written exam. The second one is appearing for PIB Interview lastly clearing a subsequent SSB Interview.

TA PIB Result is available online a month after the exams. Candidate first has to go through PIB interview and then Subsequent SSB Interview.
SSB Interview boards are the same as other entires. Furthermore, Interview process also remains the same.
When is Territorial Army Exam?
TA PIB Exam is conducted twice in a year in the month of April and September.

What is the Eligibility for TA PIB Entry?
| Age | You can apply till the age of 42 years Note: Age limit is at the time of “joining academy” |

Most Important Eligibility of TA is “Gainfully Employed”. This means that the person should be either working or should be self employed.
This is checked at PIB Interview. Proof such as ITR or Salary Slip is necessary.
TA PIB Entry Interview
Once you are recommended by the SSB Board you will undergo a total medical examination.
At this stage if you are declared medically unfit you will be sent back. As soon as you are declared medically fit, your name will be accommodated in the Merit List.
As per the vacancy, those topping merit list are called for joining the Course. Rest of the candidates will be considered merit out.
Territorial Army Training
Commission is granted in the rank of Lieutenant. The starting salary will range anywhere around 100k keeping aside all other benefits and perks.
Personnel will undergo two months mandatory annual training every year. One can also opt for serving full time in Indian Army. If embodiment is for minimum eligible period then one is also eligible for pension.
Other perks of a TA Officer such as CSD, ECHS are exactly the same as other officers in Indian Army.
