TROPEX 2019

Indian navy was set to conduct its largest war game, Theatre Level Operational Readiness Exercise (TROPEX 19) which was about to begin on January 7 till March 10 of this year. However, the terror attack in Pulwama on February 14 led to the rapid redeployment of the Navy for operations in the North Arabian Sea. This was necessary to combat the progressively unfolding tensions between the two neighbours. The major installations of the Indian Navy including the aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya, the submarines and all the aircraft were diverted from the exercise to operational mode as the situations between the two nations worsened.
