AFCAT 2 2018 Notification
AFCAT is an entrance exam which is conducted twice a year by Air force which gives an opportunity to all the aspirants to fulfill their dreams. Airforce will soon be issuing a notification inviting men & women candidates to join as a commissioned officers in Flying, Ground duty(Technical) and Ground duty(Non-Technical) branches. However, Online registration will commence from 16 th June 2018 and would be open until 15 th July 2018. AFCAT 2 2018 will be conducted online by C-DAC in the same manner as of AFCAT 1 2018
Flying Branch academic Qualification
In particular graduates with minimum 3 years degree course in any discipline with minimum 60% marks and have passed math & Physics as a subject at (10+2) or equivalent and B.E/ B.Tech from a recognized University with a minimum of 60 % marks.
Age Limit
20 to 24 years old as on 01 July 2019 i.e. born between 02 July 1995 to 01 July 1999 (Both dates inclusive).
Minimum height
162.5 cms Weight Proportionate to the height
Ground duty (Technical) Branch: Academic Qualification
In the first place graduates must have minimum 60% marks and have passed math & Physics as a subject at (10+2) or equivalent and minimum of 4 years degree qualification in engineering from a recognized university or have cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate membership of institution of Engineers (India) with minimum 60% marks.
Age Limit
20 to 26 years old as on 01 July 2019 i.e. born between 02 July 1993 to 01 July 1999 (Both dates inclusive).
Minimum height
Male candidates – 157.5 cms Female candidates – 152 cms

Type of commission
1) permanent commission : Candidates joining as PC officers would continue to serve till the age of superannuation as per their branch and rank. 2) SSC men & women : (i) The engagement period for Flying Branch SSC officers is fourteen years from the date of Commissioning (Non extendable). (ii) The initial tenure for SSC officers in Ground Duty (Tech and Non-Tech) branches would be for a period of ten years. An extension of four years may be granted subject to service requirements, availability of vacancies, willingness, suitability and merit. where to apply : one can apply here when the notification is out
