Manish Patel 4 AFSB varanasi
I am cadet Manish Patel. My journey for NDA started in class 6 th when I joined sainik school Ambikapur. The environment of Sainik School motivated me to have a career in the Indian armed forces. Although I was from Sainik School but still being a new sainik school we didn’t had much experience. I was not much aware about the procedure to join NDA but I knew one thing that I had to do it any cost. When I came in class 9 th my elder brother Cadet Kripasindhu Patel who is an alumni of sainik school Rewa, cleared NDA. This gave me a confidence and some motivation.
I used to work hard to build a good personality. Yes my school gave me a lot of opportunities in doing so. I became school captain my school which made me a good leader. In class 12 th I had made my mind that I will do it at any cost. I never thought of any second option like JEE, NEET etc. when I cleared UPSC exam, I was very happy .but yes the main test SSB was awaiting for me. My SSB was at 4AFSB Varanasi. When I was giving my screening test I was sure that I will make it to the next phase. All the tasks went very well and I maintained to keep my performance level same in all the tasks. After the conference, when the results were to be announced my heartbeat has increased but somewhere I was confident of getting my number there. And finally I could not control the tears of joy which flooded out. I was recommended on 26th January 2018, the republic day of our country. It is not only a great coincidence but also a matter of pride for me. I am no one to crack out what they check. But from my experience I think that it is all about your mind. If you are determined and dedicated then no one can stop you. You don’t have to be perfect; you just have to keep on improving and correcting yourself.
Your MANSA (mind), VACHA (communication), KARMANA (work) must be pure. You cannot simply go to coaching for SSB and clear it. Those qualities must be there inside you. You cannot fake it. For my recommendation I would like to thank my parents who always taught me what is right and what is wrong, my school and its staff which always gave me the motivation, my friends who always stood with me and all others who guided me in my life.
Thank you JAI HIND!!! Cadet Manish Patel Chest no. – 42 4 AFSB VARANASI
