Passing Out Parades are known for their precision, discipline, and military traditions. They mark the successful completion of months or years of rigorous training and the beginning of a new chapter in an officer’s life.
However, at the Combat Army Aviation Training School (CAATS), Nashik, one newly qualified Army pilot added a personal touch to this proud military occasion, creating a moment that captured hearts across the country.
Captain Bharat Bhardwaj, who had just earned his wings as an Army Aviator, chose one of the most important days of his life to propose marriage to his longtime girlfriend, Arushi.

A Dream Achieved After Years of Hard Work
Becoming an Army pilot is not an easy journey. It demands dedication, discipline, perseverance, and countless hours of training.
For Captain Bharat Bhardwaj and his fellow officers, the day marked the successful completion of a challenging phase of military aviation training.
Speaking after the event, he said that it was a very special day not only for him but for all the officers who had trained together.
“We have all become pilots and instructors today. It was a big day for all of us. Our hard work yielded fruit today,” he said.

Five Years of Togetherness
The proposal was not a spontaneous decision. Bharat revealed that he and Arushi had known each other for the past five years.
For him, there could not have been a better occasion to take the next step in their relationship.
After achieving a dream he had worked towards for years, he wanted to share that happiness with the person who had been a part of his journey.
“I don’t think there is any better day than this to propose marriage to her,” he said.
