Arjun MBT

is a third generation main battle tank developed by India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), for the Indian Army. The Arjun MBT features a 120 mm main rifled gun. And it also has one PKT 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun and an NSVT 12.7 mm machine gun. Thus Indian army tank first made its entry in the force in 2004.

 

T-90 Bhishma

The T-90 is also a third-generation Russian battle tank that entered service in 1993. The T-90 uses a 125 mm 2A46 smoothbore main gun, the 1A45T fire-control system, an upgraded engine, and gunner's thermal sight also.

 

T-72 Ajeya

The T-72 is a Soviet-designed main battle tank. India uses four versions of the tank: Ajeya MK1, Ajeya MK2, combat improved Ajeya and the tank EX. And besides that, more than 40 countries all over the world use this tank.

 

BMP-2 Sarath

It is a second-generation, amphibious infantry fighting vehicle. The Soviet Union introduced this tank in the 1980s. Then India started making these tanks in the ordinance factory, Medak under licence from since 1987.

 

Abhay IFV

It is also an Infantry Combat Vehicle (ICV) being developed in India by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). These series of armoured vehicles are being made in India to replace the Indian army BMP-2s.

 

So these were the artillery armoured vehicles of the Indian army that has been a part of major historical wars. And every Indian army aspirant must have the basic idea about the type of weapons used there.
