SSB GD – SUMMARY OF COMMONWEALTH GAMES

The 2018 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXI Commonwealth Games took place in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia

India did fairly well by clinching 26 Gold, 20 silver and 20 Bronze medals.

First lets talk about SHOOTING. India has won a total of 16 medals in shooting. 7 Gold, 4 silver and 5 Bronze

In WRESTLING india has won 12 medals including 5 Gold , 3 silver and 4 bronze.

In WEIGHTLIFTING india has won a total of 9 medals including 5 Gold , 2 silver and two bronze medals.

Also, in  BOXING india was able to get 3 Gold , 3 silver as well as 3 Bronze medals

A total of 8 medals were attributable to TABLE TENNIS including 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 3 Bronze

Also , india won 6 medals in BADMINTON including 2 Gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze

Lastly, india won 3 medals in ATHLETICS including 1 Gold medal in Javelin throw

If you are wondering how India managed to accumulate materially more medals than that of Olympics, then the answer is that unlike olympics ONLY commonwealth nations participate to compete among each other.
