The Indian Army released the TES-56 merit list for courses beginning in January 2027 for all recommended candidates. The list was prepared after the SSB interview and medical examination of those who were recommended. It has neared these young men to their dream of donning the olive greens.
What is TES-56 Merit List?
The TES-56 merit list is the final result for the Technical Entry Scheme‘s 56th Course, which will be starting in January 2027.
This list encompasses all candidates who were recommended for the above-mentioned course by the Services Selection Board, and they will soon be joining one of the following military training academies to become officers in the Indian Army:
- College of Military Engineering, Pune
- Military College for Telecommunication Engineering, Mhow
- Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering, Secunderabad
The candidates will undergo military training, along with an engineering course in one of the three institutions for three years. After this, they will join the prestigious Indian Military Academy in Dehradun.
Here, again, they will train for a year after which they will be commissioned into the Indian Army as Lieutenants on permanent commission.

Important Points
Before you check the TES-56 merit list, as candidates, you must keep the following four points in mind:
- The joining letters or JL will be issued to candidates in the order of merit, that is, not everyone will get to join the academy.
- Issuance of JL will be governed by factors such as number of vacancies, medical fitness of a candidate, educational qualification, and meeting all the eligibility criteria for the said course.
- All those who have not submitted their 10th or 12th class marksheets and certificates must submit the same in self-attested format using the “Feedback/Query” section on joinindianarmy.nic.in
- The medical fitness of candidates is not considered during the preparation of the TES-56 merit list.
These points provide you with the clarity that you need before you start preparing to join the academy.
