Two Para Officers Lt Col Swaroop Singh Kuntal and Major Sachin Singh Kuntal, who are real-life brothers also, set a triumph in Chandigarh 24 hours run held on Saturday and Sunday.
In 24 hours Tuffman Stadium Run on 13-14 March, Lt Col Swaroop Singh Kuntal completed the 24 hours Run by running continuously 191 km. Lt Col S S Kuntal is a triathlete, Cyclist, Paratrooper and IIT Graduate. The Para Officer exhibited his Toughness, Courage and High level of Physical and Mental Toughness.
Previously, Lt Col S S Kuntal won the Ultraman India in 27 hours 46 minutes which included 10 km swimming, 424 km cycling and 84 km running. And Lt col Swaroop Kuntal became the fastest Indian to become complete Iron Man Malaysia in 12 hours 14 minutes by completing 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.2 running. Lt Col S S Kuntal is awarded by Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card.
Major Sachin Singh Kuntal also completed a 100 km run in 08 hours 46 minutes held at Chandigarh Stadium. Major Sachin Singh Kuntal is also a cyclist and Ultra-Marathoner. Maj Sachin Kuntal has set a world record by completing the World’s longest and toughest duathlon of 1401 km from New Delhi to Kargil War memorial in the Drass sector.
Para Officers 24 hours run Lt Col Swaroop Singh Kuntal belongs to the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers and Major Sachin Singh Kuntal belongs to the Army Ordnance Corps. Both the officers are Airborne Warriors and have won many laurels for India and the Indian Army.
