The 137 Composite Ecological Task Force Battalion (CETF Bn) of 39 Gorkha Rifles will be organizing a recruitment rally for Ex-Servicemen (Pension holder only) and Ex-women employees (including premature retirees) of MoEF&CC and State Forest Department on All India Basis from 16 November 2026 to 21 November 2026.

All eligible candidates volunteering to join the Territorial Army recruitment will have to report for screening (Physical tests and Interview) at 7 AM on 16 November 2026 at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium, New Cantt, Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria

Also, a relaxation of 5 cm in height and weight commensurate with reduced height for women of North-East and hill areas like Gorkhas, Assamese and Garhwalis will be given.

• The period of enrollment of enrolled persons of CETF Bn will be 02 years commencing from the date of their enrollment for service and may be extended by 01 year at a time, subject to satisfactory performance and suitability for further retention in service and continuation of the project by Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India. Unsuitable and undesirable enrolled personnel of Infantry Battalion (TA) Ecological units, whenever found unsuitable by the unit board of officers will be discharged from service.

• Territorial Army is purely a voluntary organization and essentially a part time job. People will be employed temporarily based on Government Sanction and organizational requirement. The organization does not provide or promise any permanent employment.

• All enrolled personnel will be entitled to basic pay of their rank and service group in which they are employed in the unit, dearness allowance as admissible from time to time will also be applicable. No annual increment will be admissible. Other allowances like Children Education Allowance, Hill Compensatory Allowance, House Rent Allowance and Road Mileage Allowance etc, will be admissible.

• No pension, increment and Gratuity will be admissible to Ex-servicemen & Ex-women employees (including premature retiree) of MoEF&CC and State Forest Department for the service rendered in CETF Bn (TA). Pension entitlement earned in their previous service, will remain untouched and will be ignored in fixing their pay & allowances.

• Personnel enrolled in CETF Bn (TA) will be entitled to canteen and medical facilities as applicable to any other units.
