Territorial Army Notification 2022 has been released by the Indian Army. Gainfully employed young citizens can apply for an opportunity of donning the uniform and serving the nation as Territorial Army Officers (Non Departmental). TA entry is based on the concept of enabling motivated young citizens to serve in a military environment without having to sacrifice their primary professions. Therefore, you can serve the nation in two capacities – as a civilian and as a soldier. Most certainly, No other option allows you such an expanse of experiences.

TERRITORIAL ARMY ELIGIBILITY:

(a) Nationality: Only citizens of India (male and female).

(b) Age Limits: 18 to 42 years on the last date of application i.e. 30th July 2022.

(c) Educational Qualifications: Graduate from any recognized university.

(d) Physical Standards: A candidate must be physically and medically fit in all respects.

(e) Employment: Gainfully Employed.

TA PIB APPLICATION FEE DETAILS:

Candidates’ have to pay a fee of Rs 200/- (Rupees two hundred only). Candidates should note that payment of examination fee can be made only through the modes prescribed at website. Payment of fee through any other mode is neither valid nor acceptable.

HOW TO APPLY FOR TA PIB:

Candidates can apply online by using the website www.jointerritorialarmy.gov.in. Further, instructions for filling up the online Application Form (IAF(TA)-9 (Revised) Part-1) are given on the website.

(i) The applicants must ensure that while filling their Application Form, they are providing their valid and active E-mail IDs as the concerned authorities may use electronic mode of communication while contacting them at different stages of examination process.

(ii) Apply online well in time without waiting for the last date for submission of online applications.

(iii) Also, while filling in the Application Form, the candidate should carefully decide about his choice for the centre for the examination.

(iv) Applicant cannot request for change of centre

(v) Lastly, It is advised to keep copy of print out of filled form submitted online.

TA PIB SELECTION PROCEDURE:

(a) Firstly, candidates whose application forms are found correct will be called for screening (written exam followed by interview only if passed in written exam) by a Preliminary Interview Board (PIB) by the respective Territorial Army Group Headquarters.

(b) After that, successful candidates will further undergo tests at a Service Selection Board (SSB) and Medical Board for final selection.

(c) Vacancies of male and female candidates will be determined as per organisational requirement.

STANDARD AND SYLLABUS OF THE EXAMINATION:

The standard of the papers in Elementary Mathematics will be a Matriculation level. The standard of papers in other subjects will approximately be such as maybe expected of a graduate of an Indian university.

NOTE: Minimum 40% marks in each part of the paper separately and overall average of 50% is required to qualify.

Aspirants preparing for Territorial Army must refer Territorial Army Book available on Amazon & Flipkart. The book covers the complete syllabus of Paper-1 & Paper-2 and contains adequate amount of practice question to practice. Territorial Army Book also contains the previous years question papers to understand the pattern.
