Indian Navy INET Notification 2021 [ Eligibility, Vacancies, SSB Date]
Indian Navy has released the INET 2021 notification to join the Indian Naval Academy. Applications are invited from unmarried eligible men & women candidates for grant of Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in under-mentioned branches / entries in the Indian Navy for course commencing in June 2021 at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Candidates must fulfill conditions of nationality as laid down by the Government of India. Naval Orientation Course (NOC) Regular – Pilot / Observer / Air Traffic Controller / Naval Armament Inspectorate Cadre / Logistics / Education / Information Technology / Technical (Engineering & Electrical)
Eligibility:
NOTE:
(i) Due to COVID-19 pandemic, an exception is being made in the public interest wherein no INET (O) entrance examination for the AT – 21 course is being held for shortlisting candidate for SSB. The final merit list
for induction will be prepared based only on SSB marks.
(ii) These vacancies are tentative and may be changed depending on availability of training slots.
(iii) *Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Holders. Candidates having valid and current CPL issued by DGCA (India) and born between 02 Jul 1996 and 01 Jul 2002 (both dates inclusive) can apply for Pilot entry as
per eligibility criteria stated at Para 2(d).
(iv) **Merchant Navy Personnel. Candidates having Government of India, Ministry of Shipping & Transport Certificate of Competency (Foreign going) either as a Second Mate, Mate or Master and born between
02 Jul 1991 and 01 Jan 2002 (both dates inclusive) can apply for Executive Branch entry (General Service) and Technical Branch entry (SSC Engineering) as per stipulations stated at Para 2(a) & 2(g) respectively.
Who Can Apply:
(a) Candidates who have passed Engineering Degree or are in the final year of Engineering Course in any of the above mentioned disciplines from a AICTE recognised educational institute can apply. The candidates will, however be required to pass final examination (BE/B Tech) with minimum 60% before joining INA. The candidates failing to meet minimum cut off %age will not be permitted to join INA Ezhimala.
(b) Candidates who have completed their degree on the date of filling the application can apply for all Branches / Entries.

Selection Procedure:
- Shortlisting For SSB:
(i) Shortlisting of application will be based on preference of entries and normalised marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree.
(ii) For candidates who have completed MCA, MBA, M.Sc, B.Sc and B.Com marks obtained in all semesters will be considered. In all others cases, marks obtained by candidates in all semesters till pre-final year will be considered.
(iii) Approximately 8300 candidates [ie approximately 40 candidates per vacancy per entry, except for SSC (Pilot)] will be shortlisted for SSB. Their SSB interviews will be tentatively scheduled from Feb 21 onwards at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Visakhapatnam / Kolkata. SSB for Pilot & Observer entry will be conducted at SSB Bangalore only.

How to apply:
Candidates are to register and fill application on Indian Navy website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. The candidates can apply from 18 December onwards.
Online (e-application): Whilst filling up the e-application, it is advisable to keep the relevant documents readily available to enable the following:-
(a) Correct filling up of personal particulars. Details are to be filled up as given in the Matriculation Certificate.
(b) Fields such as e-mail address, mobile number are mandatory fields and need to be filled.
(c) All relevant documents (preferably in original), marks sheets upto 5th & 7th semester for regular and integrated B.E. / B.Tech courses & other degree examination respectively, date of birth proof (as per 10th & 12th certificate), CGPA conversion formula for BE/B.Tech, Commercial Pilot Licence(CPL) issued by DGCA, Government of India, and a recent passport size colour photograph should be scanned in original JPG/FITT format, for attaching the same while filling up the application.
(d) If any scanned document is not legible/readable for any reason the application will be rejected. Candidates are to take print out of application and carry it while appearing for INET or SSB interview.
