Highest Skydiving Jump at Khardung La Pass By Indian Air Force
The Indian Air Force set the new record by performing a High altitude Skydive Jump at Khardungla pass in Leh. The two air warriors Wing Commander Gajanad Yadava and Warrant Officer A K Tiwari successfully carried out the jump with Indian National Flag. The Skydive jump was carried out from C-130 J Hercules Military Aircraft.
The Khardung la pass jump was carried out on 8 October 2020 as part of Indian Air Force Day celebrations. The IAF said that ” The jumping at high altitudes with low oxygen level and mountainous terrains is really difficult and both the Air warriors have shown the high level of patriotism and determination for setting this record at an altitude of 17900 ft”.
Wing Commander Gajanad Yadava and Warrant Officer A K Tiwari are qualified Para Jump Instructors in Paratroopers Training School, Agra. And both of them are part of Indian Air Force “Akash Ganga” Skydiving Team.
The Wing Commander Gajanad Yadava has been awarded with the “Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award 2019” in Air Adventure Category. The officer has undertaken more than 2900 jumps. Salute to the Air Warriors.
