23rd JAG entry scheme notification
Indian Army has invited application for the 23rd Judge Advocate General (JAG). The course commences on October 2019. This entry provides an opportunity for law graduates to appear directly for the interview often called as SSB interview (Service selection Board Interview) after being shortlisted on the basis of academic score.
Below is the eligibility criteria for JAG
21 – 27 years as on 01 July 2019 (Born not earlier than 02 July 1992 and not later than 01 July 1998. Both dates inclusive)

Unmarried men and women candidates
The requirement is minimum 55% marks in LLB Degree (Three years professional after graduation or 5 years after 10+2 examination). Moreover, the candidate should be eligible for registration with Bar Council of India/State. Candidate should be from a college or University recognized by Bar Council of India.
7 vacancies for men and 7 vacancies for Women are allotted for 23rd JAG course.

NOTE: There will not be a written exam for shortlisting.
49 weeks at OTA, Chennai.
How to apply:
Eligible candidates are also required to apply online by registering them on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in However, no other mode is allowed for submission of application. Click on officers entry ‘Apply/Login’ and then click on ‘Registration’ Further, follow onscreen instructions for registration and click on ‘Apply Online’ to process the application.
Following shortlisting of applications, the candidate will get a mail for centre allotment. After allotment of selection centre, candidates will have to log in to the website and also select their SSB dates on first come first served basis, up to a specified date. The online application will open from 16th Jan 2019 up to 14th Feb 2019 till 1200 hrs.
