Pay scale of Army Officers and equivalent ranks in Air Force and Navy

Salary of Chief of army staff is fixed at Rs 2.5 lacs per month.

MSP to the officer is as follows, Military Service Pay(MSP) to the officers from the rank of Lieutenant to Brigadier is Rs 15.500 p.m. (fixed) Fixed Stipend for Cadet Training Also, stipend to Gentlemen and Lady Cadets during the entire duration of training in Service academies that is during training period at IMA and OTA is Rs 56,100/-p.m.*

Finally on successful commissioning, the pay in the Pay matrix of the Officer commissioned shall be fixed in the first Cell of Level 10. Also ,The period of training shall not be treated as commissioned service and Equally important, arrears on account of admissible allowances, as applicable, for the training period shall be paid to cadets.

Flying allowance The Army Aviators (Pilots) serving in the Army Aviation Corps are entitled to flying allowance (Lieutenant and above) Rs 25,000/- p.m. fixed

Other allowance: Dearness allowance: (Admissible at the same rates and under the same condition as are applicable to the civilian personnel from time to time) Siachen Allowance : (Siachen Allowance will be Rs. 42,500/- per month.) Uniform allowance : (Allowance i.e. Rs. 20,000/- per year.) Transport allowance:  Additionally, Transport allowance at Hyderabad, Patna, Delhi, Ahmadabad, Surat, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kozhikode, Indore, Greater Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Jaipur, Chennai, Coimbatore, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Kolkata will be Rs 7200 p.m Also Transport allowance for other places will be Rs 3600 p.m

BENEFIT FOR SIKKIM RESIDENTS: Moreover, State Govt. Of Sikkim has approved a cash incentive of Rs. 1.5 lac (Rupees one lakh fifty thousand only) to successful candidates of Sikkim for all officer’s entry scheme.
