So, NCC-125 stands for National Cadet Corps 125th Course. This is a direct entry for male and female candidates who have done NCC in the past and attained the ‘C’ level certificate. Here are the other parameters that a candidate must qualify to appear for this entry:
A candidate must not be below 19 years and above 25 years as on 1 January 2027. That is, the candidate should not be born before 02 Jan 2002 and not after 01 Jan 2008 (both days inclusive).
According to NCC-125 Course notification only graduates with a minimum of ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’ Certificate exam of NCC are eligible to apply. Also, candidates must not avail an SSB on the basis of CDS (1) 2026 examination.

Factors To Consider While Selecting NCC 125 Course SSB Dates
You might wonder what factors you should keep in mind while selecting the NCC 125 course SSB dates. This is especially true for freshers who often fall prey to rumours and opinions of repeaters online.
Hence, here are the only factors that you should focus on, and select your NCC 125 course SSB dates accordingly:
- Ensure that you choose your date based on your convenience of travel, costs involved, and any other commitment that would come in the way.
- Select a date not because the recommendation ratio is good or the reporting may be less, but because you are well-prepared for the SSB interview.
- If you are not comfortable in, let’s say winters, avoid choosing a date that falls in that time of the year. If you happen to choose it anyhow, ensure taking adequate clothing.
Please don’t select a date because you’ve been told that the board has a preference for freshers or recommends more people. Your choice should be based on your preparation and convenience.

Once you have completed the process of selecting NCC-125 course SSB dates, you can refer to these tried and tested tips that will help you in having a smooth SSB experience:
