Republic Day Parade 2025
India celebrated its 76th Republic Day on Sunday, January 26, 2025, with the iconic parade at Kartavya Path leading the celebrations. The day marks 75th anniversary of India’s Constitution coming into effect. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge extended their greetings to the people on Republic Day.
President Droupadi Murmu led the nation in celebrating the 76th Republic Day from Kartavya Path in New Delhi. The Republic Day Parade began at Kartayva Path and showcased India’s cultural diversity and military prowess through tableaux and marching contingents.
The Republic Day Parade ceremony commenced with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the National War Memorial on Sunday morning.
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto was the Chief Guest for Republic Day Parade 2025. Around 10,000 special guests were invited to witness the parade. The parade began with President Droupadi Murmu taking the salute.
The Republic Day Parade also witnessed a march past by the Marching Contingent of the Indonesian National Armed Forces and the Military Band of Indonesia’s Military Academy.
India’s defence might took center stage at Kartavya Path with a stunning display of power and innovation.
The Indian Army showcased its unmatched might and discipline with a spectacular display.The parade featured nine marching contingents representing different regiments marched in unison, displaying the strength and unity of our armed forces. The vibrant and powerful showcase was a reminder of the bravery and sacrifices made by our soldiers.
The NCC contingents displayed exceptional coordination reflecting teamwork and national pride, at the Kartavya Path today. 40% of the 148 girl cadets represented NCC’s excellence in mountaineering, rafting & other adventurous activities.
For the first time DRDO showcased the Pralay Weapon System, a 400+ km range Surface-to-Surface missile, also stood out with its precision, avionics, and flexibility in neutralizing diverse battlefield targets, highlighting India’s strong defence preparedness.
Kartavya Path was painted in the vibrant colors of India’s rich cultural diversity and unity during Republic Day Parade 2025. With the theme ‘Jayati Jaya Mamaḧ Bharatam’, 5,000 artists performed over 45 dance forms, showcasing the nation’s dynamic traditions. For the first time, the cultural extravaganza stretched across the entire Kartavya Path, from Vijay Chowk to C Hexagon, capturing the spirit of India’s unity in diversity in a mesmerizing display.
Tableaux from 16 state government and Union Territories and 10 ministries and departments of the Centre highlighting ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’ participated in the parade.
The Dare Devils Motorcycle Team of Signal Corps displayed a captivating performance at Kartavya Path on with their breathtaking stunts and impeccable precision. Under the leadership of Capt Ashish Rana, the team performed daring acts like the Bullet Salute, the awe-inspiring 33-men Human Pyramid, and iconic formations such as Tank Top, Mercury Peak, and Lotus.
The Republic Day Parade concluded with a ‘fly-past’ enthralling the audience with a breathtaking air show by 40 aircraft/helicopters.
The ceremony culminated with the national anthem and the release of balloons carrying banners with the official logo depicting 75 years of enactment of the Constitution in both English and Hindi.
