Afcat 1 2020 Expected Cutoff & Exam Analysis
Read about the expected cutoff of Afcat 1 2020 and previous years cutoff. AFCAT 2020 is being conducted by the Indian Air Force across 104 exam centres in the country. The exam is used to select candidates for induction of Group A Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches of the Indian Air Force.
According to the aspirants the level of AFCAT exam was easy to moderate. Reasoning section was easy whereas General Knowledge was easy to moderate. On the other hand, English was moderate and Mathematics was easy but some candidates found it lengthy.
IAF determines the AFCAT 2020 cut off on the basis of certain factors which are given here. The number of applicants has a direct bearing on the cutoffs dependent on the vacancies announced.

Considering the above cut off trends it is expected that the Afcat 1 2020 cutoff will remain around 153 – 158.
Selection Process Of AFCAT:
There are three stages for the final AFCAT selection. They are
Stage I: Online test for all candidates. EKT for Ground Duty Technical Branch only. – Candidates who appear and secure the AFCAT cut off 2020 will be selected to appear in the next stage.
Stage II: AFSB Interview Process comprises three stages starting with Stage-I which is the Officer Intelligence Rating Test along with Picture Perception and discussion test. After that, screened in candidates will be subjected to second stage of the interview. Stage-II has the Psychological test followed by Group Tests and an Interview.
Note: Flying Branch aspirants have to undergo the Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) which is a once in a lifetime test.
Stage III: Medical examination – The last stage in the selection process is the medical examination. A candidate must undergo the tests specified. If they clear the same, they are eligible for selection.
Merit List AFCAT 2020:
Above all, selection of the candidates is on the basis of the final merit list which is prepared on the basis of total scores of candidates both in the written exam and AFSB Interview. There is no specific AFCAT 2020 cut off for the final selection. Candidates who have been selected will have to undergo training as per the selection rules and recruitment guidelines.
