With just a few hours remaining for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT), lots of candidates are into last-minute preparation for it. In such cases, they are bound to miss out on things beyond the syllabus. Hence, we share the AFCAT 2026 checklist before you sit for your exam.
AFCAT 2026 Checklist
By now, you must have completed your syllabus and given multiple mock tests to ace your preparation. So, take a deep breath as you’ve done enough. Since EdCIL has released the admit cards for AFCAT (2) 2026, there isn’t much that you can memorize. The time, now, is for preparation for the big day.

Hence, here is the AFCAT 2026 checklist that you must read and follow before you sit for the exam:
Dress code
The first thing to focus on in the AFCAT 2026 checklist is your dress code. You can wear anything decent, but here are some essentials you must keep in mind:
- Wear open sandals or slippers, in which your toes are visible. Avoid shoes or sandals with high heels.
- Do not wear jackets with attached hoods or any clothing with big buttons.
- Avoid accessories like bracelets or sacred red threads (kalava). Female candidates can take off their earrings and nose pin before they enter the exam hall.
Know your centre
Look at your admit card for the AFCAT exam centre. It also has the geolocation of the place, which you can access via Google Maps. Ensure that there aren’t any centres with a similar name and decide your mode of transport beforehand.

If you intend on travelling by the metro, know which metro lines to take to reach the exam centre. Also, keep a buffer time of at least 30 minutes to avoid any last-minute hassle as part of the AFCAT 2026 checklist and always have a PLAN B for transportation.
Carry these essential items
Before you leave your home, look at this AFCAT 2026 checklist and do not forget to carry the following items with yourself:
- A blue or black ballpoint pen
- Two photographs (the same as those uploaded in the online application)
- Identity proof mentioned in the admit card, such as PAN card or AADHAR card
- Your printed AFCAT admit card
Keep these in your bag right now, and if you’ve already left home and forgotten something like your photograph, look for a photo studio nearby and get scanned copies of the photograph immediately.

AFCAT 2026 Checklist: Other Tips
While the above-mentioned points are obvious ones in the AFCAT 2026 checklist, here are some extra tips that you can follow:
- Sleep well the night before and relax your mind.
- Read the instructions in the admit card properly.
- Eat something before the exam that keeps you full for 3-4 hours and stay hydrated.
- Avoid mugging up anything new or taking another mock test, you’ve studied enough.
- Always keep a buffer time of 30 minutes or more before your reporting time.
- Don’t rely on UPI alone, keep some cash in hand too.
- Stay confident and positive while attempting questions.
