UPSC CDS 1 2021 Paper Analysis. The CDS 1 2021 Exam was conducted by UPSC on 7th February 2021 to select candidates for the IMA, OTA, AFA, and INA. Candidates qualifying for the written test will be shortlisted for SSB Interview. The final selection of candidates will be done based on the candidate’s performance in the written exam and SSB Interview. The Joining letter will be issued to the candidates according to available vacancies in the merit and medical fitness. The UPSC CDS 1 2021 Paper Analysis goes as follows:
Paper-I: English from 09:00 am to 11:00 am
The English paper level was Easy to Moderate. Most of the topics of General English were covered in English paper for 120 questions and 100 marks. The English paper consisted of :
1. Reading Comprehension – 2 Paragraph – 10 Questions
2. Spotting errors – 10
3. Ordering of words in a sentence – 10
4. Idioms and Phrases – 10
5. Ordering of Sentences – 10
6. Fill in the Blanks – 10
7. Synonyms – 10
8. Antonyms – 10
9. Parts of Speech -10
10. Cloze Composition – 10
11. Completion of sentences – 10
12. Preposition and Determiners – 10
Paper-II: General Knowledge from 12:00 pm to 02:00 pm
The GK paper level was Moderate to Difficult. A total of 120 questions were asked for 100 marks. Apart from science and current affairs, most of the Questions were covered from Polity and Geography.
Paper-III: Mathematics from 03:00 pm to 05:00 pm
The level of Mathematics paper was also moderate. A total of 100 questions were asked for 100 marks. Most of the Questions were covered from Trigonometry, Statistics, Mensuration, and Number System.
According to the feedback of Candidates, the level of the question paper was moderate to difficult.
