Like the National Defence academy, Indian military academy, officers training academy and so on which is a dream of every young patriot. So today let us talk about some of the tri-service defence institutions of India where the finest defence personnel are shaped in the service of motherland.

National Defence college, New Delhi

The National Defence College (NDC) is the only institution in the country that imparts knowledge on all aspects of national security and strategy. Only selected personnel of the rank of brigadier are trained here. Each year, approximately 25 officers from countries like the USA, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Nepal, UAE and others also attend the course.

College Of Defence management, Secunderabad, Telangana

The College Of Defence management (CDM) provides scientific and management education to Indian Armed Forces officers. Also this College is the only exclusive defence management institute in Asia. Officers from Para-Military Forces, Ministry of Defence, Research and Development Organisations and friendly foreign countries also attend various on-campus programmes.

Defence services Staff College

The Defence Services Staff College (DSSC) is located at Wellington, near Conoor in The Nilgiris mountains of Tamil Nadu State. And most importantly, it trains officers of the all three Indian Armed Forces and officers from friendly foreign countries for command and staff appointments.

Military Institute of technology, Pune

The Military Institute of Technology (MILIT) is located in Pune, Maharashtra. It conducts prestigious Defence Services Technical Staff Course and trains officers of the three Services of Indian Armed Forces.

National Defence academy

Now I don't think that I need to describe much about the prestigious National Defence academy (NDA) because it is a dream for every patriotic youngster. It is the Joint Services academy of India where cadets of the three services get training together. And besides that, NDA alumni have fought in every major war and operation. Three Param Vir chakra recipients (which is the highest military honour of India) are also from NDA. And above all it is the oldest tri-service military training institute the world.
